Better than a Dog

  • St Alkmund’s Church Shrewsbury SY1 1UL United Kingdom (map)

Andrew Bannerman delivers a fascinating talk on the relationship between Charles Darwin and his wife Emma (nee Wedgwood).  The death of their beloved daughter Annie features prominently – ultimately a source of strength between Charles and Emma.

Andrew Bannerman, a retired teacher and director of the Shrewsbury Youth Theatre, has performed at literature festivals throughout the country,  including the Hay Festival and the Cheltenham Festival of Literature.

FREE Talk

(although donations towards the upkeep of this lovely town centre church will be much appreciated)
