Andrew Bannerman delivers a fascinating talk on the relationship between Charles Darwin and his wife Emma (nee Wedgwood). The death of their beloved daughter Annie features prominently – ultimately a source of strength between Charles and Emma.
Andrew’s engaging talk takes place in Darwin House - Charles Darwin’s birthplace, on what will be his 215th birthday!
The talk will last around 50 mins with a Q & A opportunity at the end.
Guests will also have the opportunity to visit Charles Darwin’s birth room and view some of the Darwin’s former rooms.

Andrew Bannerman, a retired teacher and director of the Shrewsbury Youth Theatre, has performed at literature festivals throughout the country, including the Hay Festival and the Cheltenham Festival of Literature.
