Fellow of the Royal Historical Society Nigel Hinton examines the life of Charles Darwin including his university days, marriage, family and Shrewsbury connections.

This will be an illuminating talk about Shrewsbury’s most famous scholar in the setting of his former school.

Shrewsbury Library is housed in a Grade I listed building situated on Castle Gates near Shrewsbury Castle. The site was the home of Shrewsbury School from 1550 until 1882. Charles Darwin was educated here.
