Fabulous Fossils

  • The Cut Visitor Centre, Shrophire Wildlife Trust 193 Abbey Foregate Shrewsbury, England, SY2 6AH United Kingdom (map)

A FREE drop in event for budding young (or older) geologists.

Come and see our collection of Shropshire fossils, learn about the weird creatures that formed them and how they did it.

A fascinating insight into the world as it was hundreds of millions of years ago, when Shropshire was lapped by tropical seas!

This event ties in with Darwin Festival events around Shrewsbury – the great man himself started early, collecting different pebbles from the driveway at Mount House, and going on to start his career by investigating the geology around Shropshire and across the border into Wales.

Make sure to bring your own fossil along too – we'd love to see it!
