This fragment of the Darwin family garden is the only remaining part of the formerly extensive grounds attached to The Mount, Charles Darwin's birthplace. Located above the River Severn the site includes the thinking path, which provided a daily route for walking and reflection.
Join Dr Cath Price for a tour of the site and surrounding area to learn more about how the garden and Shrewsbury would have influenced young Charles Darwin.
*Please note that the site is extremely steep with uneven steps - therefore it is unsuitable for those with limited mobility. Sensible shoes are suggested.
Tours cost £7.00 per person which supports the work of Shropshire Wildlife Trust to create a thriving natural world in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin.
Booking is advised as these events have limited capacity and are very popular.
*Please Note: the guided tour will meet first at Frankwell car park (SY3 8RD) at 10:30 AM and make its way up to Darwin House (SY3 8PU)
