The young Darwin’s interest in worms began after a visit to Wroxeter when he became curious about how and why the ancient city had become buried over time. He thought it could be due to the action of worms and so he ran an experiment to test this theory. During the Darwin Festival SM&AG are delivering three special Spotlight Talks in the galleries focused on Darwin and his links to the museum collection. Spotlight Talks at SM&AG will then resume weekly from April.
From Spring to Autumn each year SM&AG run free weekly pop up Spotlight Talks in the galleries; short 20 minute talks about a different subject each week delivered by a staff member or volunteer. These take place at 12noon and are perfect to enjoy during a lunch break, no booking needed just pop in.
