In August 1831, Charles Darwin and Professor Adam Sedgwick (regarded as the Founder of modern Geology) went on a geological tour of North Wales. This trip was to become a formative experience for the young Darwin.

About Michael Roberts:

Michael Roberts has travelled the world as a geologist, but also practiced as a vicar in north Wales, bringing together the sometimes-opposing worlds of science and religion. Michael remains an active scholar in studying Darwin, geology and the role religion has played in developing scientific theories
