In the footsteps of the young Charles Darwin is a walking tour around Shrewsbury town centre led by local historian Nigel J Hinton.

The walking tour will visit places Charles knew when a young man, the churches, where he worshipped, schools he attended and places where he lived and will also examine some of his other recollections.

*Meet under the Old Market Hall, in the Square, Shrewsbury SY1 1LH at 11.00 (prompt)

The tour will conclude at his birthplace (Darwin House) on the Mount.

Please wear stout footwear and clothing suitable for the season.
