Shrewsbury School Musicians Showcase for the Darwin Festival

  • St Alkmund's Church Saint Alkmonds Place Shrewsbury, England, SY1 (map)

An evening of chamber music and song is a lovely way to celebrate Darwin’s close connection to Shrewsbury School and his personal love of music through appreciation and involvement in younger years. This concert will include performances from the very talented young musicians from Shrewsbury School in smaller chamber ensembles and choral works. Particular highlights include Abendlied Op. 69/3 by Josef Rheinberger sung by the Chamber Choir and Trios by Franz Schubert, Robert Kahn and Darius Milhaud. We do hope that you can join us in this celebratory evening. Tickets are free and the concert begins at 7.30pm.
